We choose Italian cowhide. Cattle hides are generally a by-product of the meat industry; tanning turns hides that might otherwise be discarded into a material made for lasting use. Valuing existing resources is where our understanding of leather begins.
We care about animal welfare across all our animal-derived materials: considerate treatment during rearing, transport and sourcing, and freedom from unnecessary suffering and harm. Our material choices reflect more than texture and appearance; they reflect respect for life.

Hair-on cowhide

Hair-on cowhide retains its natural markings, hair direction and colour. These variations give the material its individual character and make each piece distinct.
Italian cowhide leather
Italian Cowhide
From bodies and top panels to labels and joined details, we use Italian cowhide for its natural grain and refined feel. Making thoughtful use of existing materials, then extending their life through everyday care, is how we value leather.

Soft folds reveal the fine fibres of wool. The exact composition of each piece is listed in its product description.

Fine silver-grey hairs follow soft changes in direction. Seen close up, the surface reveals a quiet movement of light and texture.
